How To Give

Double your impact through a $1 million matching gift through March 31!

For those interested in a leadership gift, we would welcome a personal conversation. Naming opportunities offer a meaningful way to leave a family legacy or honor a loved one, teacher, or coach. Please contact Sarah Hajduk, Director of Development, at 954.815.7201 or hajduks@wa.edu

Cash Donations

Checks may be mailed to the school address, attention Development Office.

WA accepts online gifts via credit card or direct debit. Direct debit is fee-free, so your full gift supports our mission. Donors may also choose to cover credit card processing fees.

Pledge/Recurring Gift

Your recurring gift provides steady, reliable support throughout the year. Payments will be processed automatically according to the selected schedule. You may change or cancel at any time. Pledges may also be set up online or by contacting the Development office to establish a pledge and payment schedule.

Securities

Gifts of financial assets, such as stocks and bonds, may be more advantageous than cash gifts. The receipt for your stock transfer is based on the stock’s fair-market value on the date it is transferred to WA. These gifts provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to WA before they are sold. For assets of this type that have been held for more than one year, the gift may provide a two-fold tax benefit—creating a tax deduction as well as helping to avoid the capital gains tax from their sale. Qualified Charitable Distributions

Individuals age 70½ and older may make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from their IRA to Westminster Academy. For those age 73 and older, this gift may satisfy part or all of a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) without being included as taxable income, provided the IRA custodian issues the check directly to Westminster Academy. Please consult your accountant or financial professional to determine if this strategy is appropriate for you.

Gifts In Kind

If you own a business and would like to explore the opportunity to contribute goods and services, please contact Sarah Hajduk, Director of Development, at hajduks@wa.edu.

Planned Giving

Planned giving offers individuals and families a way of making a charitable contribution through outright gifts, bequests, annuities, insurance policies, and the establishment of endowed funds. The Development Office is prepared to assist families interested in creating a legacy as part of their overall financial and estate planning.

Cryptocurrency

Donating cryptocurrency is a secure and tax-efficient way to make a meaningful impact. We accept a variety of digital currencies, allowing you to invest in the future while supporting our work today. Please email development@wa.edu for transfer instructions.

As a 501C(3) non-profit organization, all gifts to Westminster Academy are deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. We are also accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). Our operating budget is based on a fiscal year that runs from July 1 through June 30.
